Fall Family Session at Oliver Ames Estate | Easton MA Family Photographer
PUBLISHED: October 25,, 2018
It had been a little while since I last shared a family session on the blog, but after spending time with this incredible family, I was determined to sit down and make it happen. I met up with them last weekend at Oliver Ames Estate in Easton, Massachusetts, and although it was a very chilly autumn day, these guys were absolute troopers!
First of all—can we talk about the hat on this peanut?! Completely adorable. She may very well be one of the easiest toddlers I’ve ever photographed. She happily copied everything everyone did, from mimicking me squatting down to get the shot, to sticking her tongue out when Mom tried to make her laugh. Watching her mirror her family was such a sweet reminder of how much little ones absorb from those around them.
The older siblings brought all the personality. The two big brothers tried to confuse me by introducing themselves as each other—and even swapping ages—while their sweet older sister had the most contagious smile. When we wrapped up the session, she gave me the biggest hug, which instantly melted my heart!
We also took a few moments to photograph Mom and Dad together, who were celebrating their wedding anniversary that week. I always make a point to capture at least one image of just the parents. So much of family photography focuses on the kids—and rightfully so—but every family’s story begins with the connection between Mom and Dad. I love honoring that whenever I can.
With four energetic kiddos, these two definitely have their hands full—but one thing is certain: their home is filled with laughter, love, and endless smiles. And that makes every cold autumn session completely worth it ❤️
If you’re looking for a family session experience for your own crew, I’d love to help you plan your session!
