Foxboro Family Photos | Mansfield Family Photographer

Last month, I met up with this incredibly fun family for a relaxed photo session to create images for their Christmas card. We waited until one of the sisters returned home from school — and while the timing took a little patience, it was completely worth it. The final images felt natural, joyful, and full of personality.

Mom suggested the center of Foxboro for the session, and I’ll admit, I hesitated at first. I wasn’t quite sure what the area would offer visually. That changed during my pre-shoot walkthrough, when I came across a set of colorful doors that immediately caught my eye. Sometimes the most unexpected locations end up being the most inspiring — and this one delivered.

Once I captured the first image, I knew I wanted more of that color — not just in this session, but in my work overall. Those bold, vibrant tones sparked something creatively and became the inspiration behind a full website refresh.

While I’ll always love black and white imagery, there’s something incredibly striking about intentional pops of color, especially when they appear in places you don’t expect. This session — and this family — reminded me how powerful color can be when it’s used thoughtfully.

Some photo sessions give you beautiful images. Others leave a lasting creative impact.
This one did both.

If you’re looking to capture your own family photos, I’d love to help. you plan your session!
