Borderland State Park | Easton Family Photographer

Last month, I met up with this family to take their Christmas card photos at Borderland and we had such a fun time together! It was a rather chilly afternoon, but these older sisters were rock stars! They both kept on smiling and never once complained! We talked all about the items on their Christmas lists and they just had a great time together. I love their coordinating dresses and all the details that went along with it. The embroidery, the bows, and I LOVE little sister's little navy shoes!

And then there's this beautiful peanut! She never complained once! She is such a sweet little girl and I so enjoyed my time with her beautiful face!

I love the in between moments. As a photographer, they are my favorite thing to capture. Don't get me wrong, I love the perfectly posed photos with everyone smiling at the camera, but I love those moments where your subject doesn't realize you're watching and they are simply themselves. Like this silly moment here! I don't recall what she was laughing at, but she was so incredibly happy!

I always choose my favorite photo from each session, and hands down, as soon as I saw this one, I knew this was it. It was this perfect moment where each sister is doing their own thing. One is being herself, and subsequently making the other laugh; littlest sister is so interested in what the oldest is doing. And the parents? They're perfectly happy. Life is a crazy, wild ride, and when we're able to capture that real emotion in a single shot, I feel that I have I done exactly what I set out to do.
