Some of my favorite Fall Photo Locations in Massachusetts & Rhode Island | Bird Park, Foxboro, Easton & Providence
PUBLISHED: August 21, 2023
Bird Park, Walpole
If we’ve worked together before, there’s a good chance you’ve heard me recommend Bird Park for fall senior and family photography. As a Massachusetts portrait photographer, it’s one of my most reliable locations for warm tones, open space, and effortless variety. And honestly? There’s a reason I come back here year after year—it never disappoints!
From softly swaying grasses to rich foliage tones and winding pathways, Bird Park offers incredible variety of background locations. It’s also one of the easiest locations to access, which makes sessions feel relaxed from the moment you arrive—something that absolutely shows in your photos.

Cranberry Bogs at Patriot Place, Foxboro
As a Massachusetts family and senior photographer, the cranberry bogs in Foxboro are one of my favorite fall locations for clients who want something a little different. With open space, reflective water, and rich seasonal tones that last well beyond peak foliage, this spot photographs beautifully for fall portrait sessions and offers flexibility other locations simply don’t.
I’ve photographed sessions here as late as January (which—just to be clear—I do not recommend unless there’s a very compelling reason, like a family member moving to Australia 😅). It was freezing… but still stunning. The open space, reflective water, and earthy tones photograph beautifully and feel different from your typical park setting.
Downtown Providence, RI
While I love classic foliage, downtown Providence just * might * be my current favorite location as a Providence senior photographer. The architecture, textured streets, and walkable layout allow us to create a session that feels editorial, elevated, and completely different from a traditional park setting.
Oliver Ames Estate, Easton MA
Oliver Ames Estate is a go-to location I often recommend as a Massachusetts senior and family photographer during the fall season. With its warm stone architecture, neutral tones, and open grounds, it provides a timeless backdrop that photographs beautifully throughout autumn—perfect for clients who want classic, refined fall portraits without heavy distractions.
